[in erotics.] Parts of the female body which if touched by men on certain days of the moon, are supposed to produce disgust, அமுதநி லைக்கேழாமிடம். நச்சுநீர், s. Poisonous water, விஷநீர். நச்சுப்படைக்கலம், s. Poisoned weapons. (p.) நச்சுப்பல், s. The poisonous fang of a snake. (c.) நச்சுப்பல்லி, s. A spotted kind of wall-lizard, whose excrement is used in witcheraft. 2. The chirp of a lizard from a direction which prognosticates evil, and causes one leaving home to turn back. 3. A woman whose words are malignant. நச்சுப்பல்லிபோலேதடுக்கிறான். He stops one like an ominous lizard. நச்சுப்பார்வை, s. Bewitching, amorous, libidinous looks, ogling, மோகப்பார்வை. (p.) 2. A blighting, ominous look, கண் ணேறு. 3. An angry, maliciouse appearance, கோபப்பார்வை. நச்சுப்பால், s. The poisonous milky juice of the spurge-class of shrubs. கள்ளிப்பால். 2. First thick milk of a woman or beast, சீம்பால். 3. Milk that does not agree with the young, இணங்கா தபால். நச்சுப்புகை, s. Poisonous smoke or fumigation from burning poisonous reptiles or vegetables. நச்சுப்பூடு, s. A poisonous herb. நச்சுப்பொடி, s. A poisonous powder, விஷத்தூள். 2. A small-fish, ஓர்சிறுமீன். நச்சுப்பொய்கை, s. Poisonous water of a tank. (p.) நச்சுமரம், s. A poisonous tree, எட்டி, Strychnos, nus-vomica, L. நச்சுமரமாயினும்நட்டவன்வெட்டுவானோ..... Though the tree be poisonous will the planter cut it up; i. e. though a man be evil, his patron is not the one to reject him. நச்சுமருந்து, s. Poisonous medicine. நச்சுமழை, s. An unhealthy or pernicious rain being untimely, not plentiful, &c., காலந்தப்பியமழை. நச்சுவாக்கு, s. Malign words of some particular poets. நச்சுவாய், s. The mouth of one whose words are blighting, விஷவாக்கு. நச்சுவிறகு, s. Poisonous fuel, used in witchcraft, &c. நச்செண்ணெய், s. A kind of poisonous oil, for curing sores, விஷதைலம். நச்செலி, s. A kind of rat whose bite is poisonous, sometimes fatal. (c.) நச்செழுத்து, s. Letters which may be so placed, in poetic composition, as to be considered ominous; as in the first word of the poem, or other important places, they are, ய, ர, ள, யா, யோ, ரா, லா, லோ, also உயிரளபெடை, ஒற்றளபெடை, மகரக்கு றுக்கம், and ஆய்தக்குறுக்கம். 25)

A column of fire. நெருப்புப்படுதல், v. noun. Being consumed with drought, கடுங்கோடையாதல். 2. (fig.) Suffering oppression, injury, &c., as a village, or country, from a ruler of head man, அமளியாதல். 3. Being destroyed by divine retribution, as the possessions of a wicked man, தேவதண்டனைஅடைதல். 4. Acting unjustly, as a government, a head-man, &c., often used as a curse. நெருப்புமூள, inf. To be kindled as fire, to rage as fire. நெருப்புவிழுங்குகோழி--நெருப்புக்கோ ழி. s. An ostrich. Being discolored, blackened, &c., with smoke. புகைப்படலம், s. An expanse or volume of smoke, vapor, tog, cloud. புகைப்பரண், s. A loft over a fireplace for placing things on, that are to be smoked. புகையிலை, s. [vul. பொயிலை.] A leaf of tobacco; (lit.) the smoke-leaf.--The different sorts of tobacco are, வேதாரணி யத்துப்புகையிலை, a superior kind of tobacco cultivated at Vedaranyam; பந்தர்புகையிலை, Bunder tobacco, or that of Masulipatam; காம்புப்புகையிலை, tobacco strung on a line; மேலைமங்கலத்துப்புகையிலை, the best kind from Melaimangalam. புகையிலைகட்டுதல், v. noun. Making up packs of tobacco. 2. Laying up tobacco. புகையிலைகுடித்தல்--புகையுண்ணல், v. noun. Smoking tobacco. புகையிலைக்கறள், s. The soot of the tobacco, &c. See கறள். புகையிலைச்சிப்பம், s.
