pṭl (p. 291) s. A small gate of braided palm leaves, thorns, &c., not of boards, ஓலைக் கதவு. 2. A kind of hurdle, or wattled flame, used for folding cattle; also as a screen against the sun, rain, wind &c., or a shed, bazaar, or hovel before a shop. மறைக்கும்படல். 3. Straying as cattle or wild beasts, and doing damage. பட்டியாய்த்திரிய--பட்டியாய்ப்புறப் பட, inf. To play the whore, to be a prostitute. பட்டியெடுக்க--பட்டிவாங்க, inf.
