ilāṭam (p. 53) s. The name of a country, the upper part of the Deccan, தேச மைம்பத்தாறிலொன்று. 2. [prop. இலலாடம்.] The forehead, நெற்றி. Wils. p. 719. LADA. இலாடசங்கிலி, s. A kind of curious chain carried as a curiosity or amusement, worn by itinerant mendicants of the இலாடம் country, ஓர்சங்கிலி. இலாடசன்னியாசி, s. A monk, or mendicant of that country. இலாடபாஷை, s. The dialect, or language of that country. இலாடர், s. Natives of that country.

payaṇam (p. 295) s. [contraction of பிரயாணம்.] Journeying, travelling, itinerating; journey, voyage. (c.) பயணக்காரன்பயித்தியகாரன். One about to set out on a journey is distracted. பயணங்கட்ட, inf. To prepare for a journey. பயணச்சாமான், s. Baggage of a traveller, பயணமுட்டு. (R.) பயணச்சீட்டு, s. A pass-port. பயணஞ்சொல்லிக்கொள்ளுதல், v. noun. Taking leave of friends for a journey. See சொல்லிக்கொள்ள. பயணந்தவிர்ந்துபோதல், v. noun. Being hindered on a journey. பயணப்பட, inf. To set out on a journey or march, to leave home. 2. To be gone on a journey. 3. As பயணங்கட்ட. பயணப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். They are set out on their journey; lodging at a short distance to avoid leaving on an unlucky day. பயணப்படுத்த, inf. To take one on a journey. 2.
