Dust is the medicine for an ass's wounds; i. e. for the poor any thing serves for medicine. கழுதையுங்குதிரையும்பிணைந்தாற்போலே. Illmatched--as an ass and horse. கழுதைக்கரணம், s. kẕuttu (p. 98) s. The neck of a person, brute, thing, &c., கண்டம். கழுத்தடி, s. The lower part of the nape of the neck, தோண்மேல். கழுத்தறுக்க, inf. To cut the throat, to server the wind-pipe. முன்விட்டுப்பின்னின்றுகழுத்தறுக்கலாமோ...... Would you bid one take precedence and then cut his throat? ஒருவன்கழுத்திலேகட்டிவிட. To devolve unpleasant consequences on another. 2. To attribute a crime or blame to a person. 3. To impose on another unsaleable goods, or a woman ineligible for marriage. கழுத்திடுகயிறு, s. Halter for a beast. கழுத்திருத்த, inf. To have the neck pressed down with a heavy load. (c.) கழுத்திலேகயிறுபோட, inf. To threaten self-immolation for the purpose of recovering debts, &c. 2.
