A winding stalk of the lotus. தாமரைநூல், s. Fibres of the lotus stalk, used with ghee as a wick for lamps, deemed very meritorious and acceptable to Siva. தாமரைப்பூ--தாமரசபுஷ்பம், s. Lotus flower. தாமரைமொட்டு--தாமரைமொக்குள், s. Its flower-bud. தாமரையாசனன், s. Brahma, the lotusseated. தாமரையாசனி--தாமரையாள், s. Lukshmi. தாமரையாள், s. Yellow sulphuret of arsenic. 2.
