The seven oceans of the Puranas are, 1. லவணச முத்திரம், sea of salt-water. 2. இக்ஷுசமுத்திரம், sea of the juice of sugar-cane. 3. சுராசமுத்தி ரம், sea of spirituous liquor. 4. சர்ப்பிசமுத்தி ரம், sea of clarified butter. 5. ததிசமுத்தி ரம், sea of curds. 6. க்ஷீரசமுத்திரம், sea of milk. 7. சுத்தோதகசமுத்திரம், sea of fresh water. கடலுரமாயிருக்கிறது. [prov.] A sea-conjurer who by magic prevents sharks, &c., from injuring divers, கடலிலுள்ளசெந் துக்களைத்தடைகட்டுவோன். கடல்நாய், s. A kind of sea-dog. கடல்நுரை, s. (lit. the froth of the sea.) Sea-shell eaten with age, Ossepi&ae;, the cuttle bone. (See அக்கினிகர்ப்பம்.) It is one of the twenty kinds of உபரசம். 2. A kind of pastry, ஓரப்பம். கடல்மனிதர், s.
