nīcam (p. 277) s. Lowness, meanness, vileness, இழிவு. W. p. 483. NEECHA. 2. Cruelty, barbarity, savageness, கொடுமை. 3. [in astrol.] The inauspicious situation of a planet. See நீசக்கிரகம். நீசக்கிரகம், s. A planet situated in the most unfriendly sign. See கிரகநிலை. நீசசாதி, s. A low caste, இனசாதி--In Jaffna they reckon four, பள்ளு, நளம், பறை and துரும்பு. நீசஸ்தானம்--நீசத்தானம், s. A vile place, இழிந்தஇடம். 2. The most unfriendly aspect of a planet. See தானம். நீசப்பட, inf. To be low, vile, degraded by mean or improper actions, ஈனப்பட. 2. To be badly situated as a planet in an unfavorable sign, நீசஇடமுற. நீசர், s. [pl. masc. sing. நீசன், fem. நீசி, நீசஸ்திரி.] The low, the vile, the contemptible; savages, இழிந்தோர். நீசவாகனம், s. Ass; (lit.) a mean conveyance, கழுதை. 236)

nīccl (p. 277) --நீச்சு, s. [improp.] Swimming as a living creature, நீந்துகை. 2. Water of swimming depth, ஆழம்; [ex நீஞ்சு, v.] (Colloq.) 3. [vul.] A bad smell, fish-smell, மீன்கவிச்சு. அவன்நீச்சுமேலேவந்தான். He came swimming. நீச்சலடிக்க, inf. To swim. இவனுக்குமீசையிலேநீச்சடிக்கவேணும். He will not eat without the smell of fish on his whiskers; i. e. he always eats fish. நீச்சாள், s. A swimmer. நீச்சுக்காரர், s. [pl.] Swimmers. நீச்சுத்தண்ணீர், s. Water of swimming depth. 2. [vul.] As நீராகாரம். நீச்சுநிலை, s. Swimming depth and shallow water நீச்சுநிலையறிய, s. To examine the deep and shallow places; i. e. to investigate a business. 2. To examine position. நீச்சுப்பழக, inf. To practise swimming, to learn to swim. நீச்சுப்பழக்க, s. To teach one to swim. மீன்குஞ்சுக்குநீச்சுப்பழக்குவாருண்டோ.
