சாதம்
cātam (p. 175) s. Boiled rice, சோறு. (Compare பிரசாதம்); [ex Sa. Sata.] (c.) 2. Truth, verity, உண்மை. Compare சதம். 3. W. p. 347. JATA. Birth, nativity, production, பிறப்பு. 4. A vampire, goblin, பூதம். Compare சாதகம். (சது.) சாதகர்மம்--சாதகன்மம், s. Ceremonies performed as the birth of a child, as giving gifts, bathing, tonsure, &c., also touching the child's tongue three times with ghee. W. p. 347. JATAKARMMA. --Note. The husband is not shaved during the wife's pregnancy, lest evil should happen to the infant. சாதங்கறி, s. Rice and curry. (c.) சாதம்படைக்க--சாதம்போட, inf. To set or distribute boiled rice. அரிசிச்சாதம், s. Rice not well boiled. உண்டைச்சாதம், s. Rice boiled and formed into balls. கட்டிச்சாதம், s. Boiled rice preserved in a small piece of cloth by a traveller. கறையற்சாதம், s. [prov.] Rice overboiled; [ex கரை, v.] தயிர்ச்சாதம், s. Rice mixed with curds, &c., sometimes presented to idols. பழையசாதம், s. (also பழையது.) Boiled rice mixed with water and kept over night for breakfast. பட்டைச்சாதம், s. [loc.] Rice boiled and set before the idol on a salver in the form of a cup, in which it had been moulded. கும்பற்சாதம், s. See under கும்பு, v. பிச்சைச்சாதம், s. [com. பிச்சைச்சோறு.] Boiled rice for the poor. பொங்கற்சாதம், s. Rice with the water not strained off, but left to steep. See பொங்கல். 5) *
சிலு
cilu (p. 186) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. [vul. prov.] To overboil--as rice, சொறுகரைய. 2. To grow ripe--as fruits, கனிய. 3. To bear fruit in abundance, (spoken of a tree,) காய்த் துக்குலுங்க. நெல்லுச் சிலுத்துப்போயிற்று. The paddy has been overboiled. மரங்காய்த்துச்சிலுத்துப்போயிருக்கிறது. There is fruit in abundance on the tree. 60)
சொலுசொலெனல்
colucoleṉl (p. 212) v. noun. [prov.] Drizzling continually and slightly, ஒலிக் குறிப்பு. 2. Being moist, as the ground by rain, மழைச்சகதி. 3. Being overboiled or boiled improperly--as rice, சோறுகுழைதல்.-Note. This word is generally used in the present tense, and participially. 8)

coḷucoḷukk (p. 212) inf. To become moist, wet, slippery, muddy, soft--as the ground by rain. (c.) 2. [prov.] To be overboiled, as rice. See சொலுசொலெனல். மழைசொளுசொளென்றூற்றிற்று. The rain poured down in torrents. 11)
