mṭngku (p. 339) கிறேன், மடங்கினேன், வேன், மடங்க, v. n. To become bent--as the arm or leg, வளைய. 2. To be shut, closed, folded --as a knife or table, as முடங்க. 3. To be inflected, deflected, refracted; to be folded, lapped, or bent out of place, கோண. 4. To bend or turn--as a road, or river, &c., சாய. 5. To turn about, to take a different course, மீள. 6. To be twisted or distorted--as a limb or the neck, முறுக. 7. To be battered, நெளிய. 8. To submit, yield, surrender, கீழ்ப்பட. 9. To be humbled, or tamed; to be reduced--as pride; to be broken--as the constitution, தாழ. 1. To be reduced in force as the wind or heat, தணிய. 11. To yield--as a disease, or poison--to medicines or incantations, உக்கிரமடங்க. 12. To be stopped, hindered, or quashed--as proceedings, &c., அமர. 13. To be turned off, diverted, thrown back--as weapons, தடைபட. 14. To be silenced by argument, sophistry or authority, to be checked, confuted, refuted, வாயடங்க. 15. To be lodged with one--as property on the death of the owner, அடைய. மடங்கலர், appel. n. [pl.] Foes, enemies; insubordinate persons, பகைவர். மடங்கலர்க்கசனியன்னான்.
