vṟu (p. 380) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To dry, to gril, to fry, to parch, to toast, வறட்ட. வறுத்துக்கொட்டினமுகம். A fiercely angry countenance. வறுத்தபயறுமுளைக்குமா. Will parched pulse germinate? [prov.] அதுவறுத்ததுபத்தாது. It needs more parching. வறுவோடு, s. A potsherd used for parching. 2. [fig.] A good-for-nothing fellow. வாழ்ந்ததுகெட்டால்வறுவோட்டுக்குமாகாது.
