kṟaiyāṉ (p. 102) s. White-ants, Temio fatale, செல். கறையானரிக்க, inf. To gnaw or consume--as white-ants. கறையான்கட்ட, inf. To form mould--as white-ants. 2. To mar--as white-ants. கறையான்புற்று, s. White-ant hills. கறையான்புற்றுவைக்கப்பாம்புகுடியிருக்கும்... White-ants make the cells, and snakes occupy them. [prov.] தாய்க்கறையான்--பெருங்கறையா ன், s. A large white-ant found in every nest, regarded as procreative of the whole; when removed, the nest perishes. நிலக்கறையான், s. The common kind of white-ants. பெருந்தலைக்கறையான், s. A largeheaded species of white-ants. கருங்கறையான், s. A black kind of white-ants. மேய்ச்சற்கறையான், s. [prov.] A large kind of white-ant that consumes rapidly, but makes no avenue. 10)

mlṭu (p. 345) s. [as adj. மலட்டு.] Barrenness, பாழ். 2. A barren beast, வித்தில்லாத விலங்கு. (c.) அறுவகைமலடு. Six kinds of barrenness in women. They are: 1. வாதபித்த மலடு, sterility from bad humors; 2. கிருமிமலடு, by worms in the uterus; 3. சீதமலடு, by mucus; 4. வாயுமலடு, by flatulency; 5. சூதகமலடு, from hysterics; 6. துன்மாமிசமலடு, from fungus formations. மலடன், s. [fem. மலடி.] One incapable of procreation. மலடிமாந்தம், s. A disease in children. மலட்டுப்புழு--மலட்டுப்பூச்சி, s. A worm said to be in a barren womb causing sterility. மலட்டுமாடு, s.
