A very small insect that lays eggs on books, papers, &c., mars them, &c., and afterwards assumes wings and becomes a moth, புத்தகங்களையரிக்கும்பூச்சி. (See சிதல்.) 2. The arrow of arrows, இராமனம்பு. 3. A medicine, ஓரௌடதம். இராமன்றேவி, s. Sita, the wife of Rama. இராமாநுசன், s. The younger brother of Rama, இலக்குவன். 2. The name of one of Vishnu's followers who propagated his religion, விட்டுணுசமயாசாரியரிலொ ருவர். இராமாயணம், s. ūẕli (p. 70) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. [prov.] To become spoiled, decayed --as meat, fruits, பதனழிய. 2. To become broken--as the constitution by disease, மெலிய. 3. To become wearied, or broken in mind, to be dispirited by continued disappointment, இளைக்க. 4. To loathe, to be greatly disgusted with, அருவருக்க. ஊழலித்தநண்டு. A crab wasted by the production of its young. The crab is said to be one of the animals which die from propagating their species. ஊழலித்தமனம், s. A dispirited mind. 27)

nāṟṟu (p. 275) s. Plant, as planted or to be transplanted, முளைத்தபயிர்; [ex நாறு, v.] (c.) நாற்றூற்றெடுத்துப்போயிற்று. The plants are injured by too much water in the bed. நாற்றங்கால்--நாற்றங்கொல்லை, s. A bed on which rice corn is sown, for transplanting நாற்றுப்பதி. நாற்றுக்கட்டு, s. A number of bundles of plants tied into one. நாற்றுத்தேங்காய், s. [prov.] A seed-cocoa-nut. நாற்றுநடுதல்--நாற்றுநடவு, v. noun. Planting or setting plants. நாற்றுப்பாக்கு, s. [prov.] Superior areca-nuts, for planting. நாற்றுப்பாவுதல், v. noun. Scattering seeds or setting seed-stones for plants, வித்தூன்றல். 2. Setting young plants in groups, for transplanting. நாற்றுப்பிடுங்க, inf. To pluck up plants. நாற்றுப்பிடி--நாற்றுமுடி, s. A handful of plants for planting, tied together. நாற்றுமரம், s. [prov.] A tree producing superior fruit, valued for propagation, நாற்றெடுத்துநடுமரம். நாற்றுவிட, inf. As நாற்றுப்பாவுதல். 49)

pr (p. 296) க்கிறது, ந்தது, க்கும், பரக்க, v. n. To spread, to extend, to be diffused, as water, air, odor, epidemics, clouds, or light; to be flattened by hammering, பரம்ப. 2. prppu (p. 297) கிறேன், பரப்பினேன், வேன், ப ரப்ப, v. a. To spread, to lay out, as goods, பொருள்பரப்ப. 2. To distend the legs in sitting, to expand the wings, &c., விரிக்க. 3. To disseminate, propagate opinions, or reports, to diffuse rays, odors, &c., to over-spread, with clouds or darkness, பரவச் செய்ய. 4. To people, to furnish with inhabitants, to stock with creatures, விருத்தி செய்ய. 5. To place confusedly as books on a table, ஒழுங்கின்றிவைக்க.--The compounds in most common use are, கடைபரப்புதல், exposing goods in a bazaar; ஓடுபரப்புதல், tiling a house; கீர்த்திபரப்புதல், spreading one's fame; மணற்பரப்புதல், spreading sand. ஏன்எல்லாம்பரப்பிக்கிடக்கிறது. Why things are scattered here and there? காலைப்பரப்பிக்கொண்டுகிடந்தான். He was lying down with his legs distended. 28)

A bye-path, for custom-house officers, &c., to apprehend smugglers. வழிச்செலவு, s. Money for expenses on a journey. 2. (p.) A journey. வழிச்செல்வோன், appel. n. A traveller. வழிதப்பிப்போக, inf. To miss the road, to go astray. வழிதுறை, s. [lit. road and harbor.] Means to an end, auxiliary aid. வழிதுறைதெரியாமல்அலைகிறான். He wanders about not knowing the road, or harbor. வழிதுறையில்லாமற்பேசினான். He spoke without method. வழித்தடை, s. Impediments, hinderance in a way or journey. வழித்துணை, s. A fellow traveller. 2. A guide. வழித்தோன்றல், s. A son, மகன். (p.) வழிநாள், s. To-morrow, மறுநாள்--in Stoke's Cural. வழிநாளை. வழிநூல், s. A copy of an original work. See நூல். வழிபட, inf. To enter a way, மார்க்க மடைய. 2. To reverence, to perform ritual worship, வணங்க. 3. To follow a way; morally, to attend upon, be devoted to, இணங்கிநடக்க. வழிபடுத்த, inf. To cause one to enter a right road, மார்க்கத்திற்சேர. 2.
