In classical works, this in the form அருமருந்தன்னபிள்ளை is contracted to அருமந்த, precious as nectar, as, அருமந்தபிள்ளை. A very dear child, அருமந்ததேர். A very costly chariot. அருமறை, s. [prov.] A girdle, waist-string, necklace, &c., so short as scarcely to be brought to meet, a string, rope, &c., so short as to be tied with difficulty, a bow-string so short as to be liable to break if brought up too far, any thing too little, too short, too narrow, &c., எட்டாப்பூட்டு. 2. Difficulty in settling a negotiation, agreement, &c., இணக்கக்கூடாமை. 3. Entanglement, ensnarement, மோசத்திலகப்படுகை. 4. Forced connection in language, clauses disconnected or not joined naturally, difficult or unnatural; construction, தொடர்ச்சி யின்மை. சொற்களையரும்பூட்டாய்த் தொடுத்துப்பேசினான். He spoke in an unconnected manner. அரும்பொருள், s. Excellent advice, hard doctrine, a rare or difficult meaning. 2. A choice or precious article. அருவினை, s. A great sin. அருவினைகளைந்து. The flower of the இருப்பை tree is sugar, where there is no sugar-cane-press; i. e. a person of mean abilities is esteemed in those places, where men of superior talents are rare. ஆலைபாய்தல், v. noun. There is a great difference between that and this. இங்கேநின்றேகதேசமாய்ப்பேசப்படாது. Don't use scurrilous language here. 11)

A kind of reddish scurf in children. கருங்கரப்பான், s. A dark kind of eruption. ஊதுகரப்பான், s. A disease of children, a kind of scall, Achy or crustalactea. கடுவான்கரப்பான், s. To approach. கிட்டலர்--கிட்டார். s. Enemies, foes, adversaries, பகைவர். கிட்டவா, Come near. கிட்டவிட, inf. To allow to approach or to allow access. கிட்டாதாகில் வெட்டெனமற. Forget, and abandon at once, your attempt at impossibilities. கிட்டிக்கொள்ள, inf. To get near, to get close by, to be near at hand. 2. To tack--as a robber. கிட்டினமட்டும்்பார். Try as much as you can. கிட்டினர், s. Relations, friends, associates, allies, உறவினர். கிட்டினவுறவு, s. A near relation; close relationship. அவன்கிட்டப்போய்ச்்சொல்லு. Near me (rarely used.) சமயங்கிட்டாது. There is no opportunity. நாலுமணிக்குக்கிட்டவந்தது. It (the clock) has almost reached four. பணங்கிட்டவில்லை. I have not been able to get any money. பல்லுக்கிட்டிக்கொண்டது. The teeth are closed (by spasm, &c.) பல்லைக்கிட்டிக்கொண்டான். Though an ape, let a wife be from one's own family. குலங்குப்பையிலே பணம்பந்தியிலே. Rank or caste is on the dung-hill, while wealth sits in state; i. e. the wealthy are honored. கோடாலிக்காம்பு குலத்துக்கீனம். The axehandle brings ruin to its race (by assisting to cut down trees)--spoken of a person who brings disgrace and ruin to his family. குலகன்மம், s. Customs attaching to a family, through successive generations, குலாசாரம். Wils. p. 233. KULAKARMMA. குலகாயம், s. The rules or regulations of caste, குலவொழுக்கம். இதுனக்குக்குலகாயமாயிருக்கிறது.
