Spreading, extending, விரிகை.-- Of பாய் are புற்பாய், a grass mat; தோற்பாய், the skins of some animals used for sleeping on; கூறைப்பாய், a canvass sail of a vessel. பசிக்குக்கறிவேண்டாம், தூக்கத்துக்குப்பாய்வேண்டா ம். A hungry man will not be particular about curry, if he can get cooked rice; and a sleepy man will not be particular about his mat. பாயிலேகிடக்க, inf. To lie on a mat. 2.
