maṉacu (p. 346) --மனது, s. Mind, heart, will, உள்ளம். W. p. 635. MANAS. 2. Purpose, intention, feeling, எண்ணம். 3. Desire, inclination of the mind, விருப்பம். மனசறிந்தவன், appel. n. One who is fully conscious. மனசறிய, inf. [adverbially.] Knowingly or wilfully, as மனசார, நெஞ்சறிய. மனசறியச்செய்தான். He has wilfully done it. மனசாயிருக்க, inf. To be willing; to purpose. மனசார--மனதார, inf. [adverbially.] Spontaneously, cordially. மனசாரநானொன்றும்அறியேன். To the best of my recollection, I know nothing of it. மனசிரங்க--மனதிரங்க, inf. To pity, to commiserate. மனசிரங்கிக்கொடுத்தான். He gave it out of pity. மனசிலேகிடக்கட்டும். Keep your own mind. மனசிலேவைத்துக்கொள். Keep this in mind. மனசில்லாமை--மனதில்லாமை, v. noun. (neg.) Unwillingness, reluctancy. மனசிளகப்பண்ண, inf. To soften the mind. 2. To move the affections. மனசினாலேகாண, inf. To meditate, to consider. மனசுஅதின்மேலோடுகிறது. The mind is bent upon it. மனசுக்குச்சரிபோனபடிசெய்கிறான். He acts according to his own mind. மனசுக்கேற்கநடக்க, inf. To walk or act according to one's mind or will. மனசுநோக--மனசுநோவ, inf. To be grieved in mind. மனசொருவிதமாயிருக்கிறது. My mind is wavering. மனசோடே. Wilfully. மனதின்தீக்குணம், s. [also மனத்தீக்கு ணம்.] The evil dispositions of the mind. See தீக்குணம். மனதின்நற்குணம், s. The good dispositions of mind: 1. அருள்நினைவு, kind thoughts; 2. ஆசையறுத்தல், mortification of corrupt desires; 3. தவப்பற்று, persevering penance. See நற்குணம். மனதைக்கருக்க, inf. To wound the feelings. See கருக்கு, v. மனதொழுக்கம்--மனத்தொழுக்கம், s. Right way of thinking. அதின்மேலெனக்குமனதில்லை. It does not suit me. மனஸ்தாபம்--மனத்தாபம், s. Grief, heart-burning. 2. Displeasure, வெறுப்பு. 3. [Chris. usage.] Repentance. உத்தமமனஸ்தாபம். True repentance. அவர்என்மேல்மனஸ்தாபமாயிருக்கிறார். He is displeased with me. 91) *
