cōṭi (p. 212) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. [vul.] To adorn, beautify, garnish, decorate a town, street, dwelling, person, &c., அலங்கரிக்க. (c.) சாட்சிசோடிக்க, inf. To instruct suborned witness, and prepare them to give evidence. (c.) சோடித்துச்சொல்ல, inf. To exaggerate. பந்தல்சோடிக்க, inf. To adorn the marriage saloon. சோடிப்பு, v. noun. maṇṭapam (p. 341) s. A hall, or shed, open on one side and connected with a temple, கோயில்மண்டபம். 2. A public, resting place, a choultry, சத்திரம். 3. A temporary saloon, or open shed, adorned with leaves and flowers, for festive occasions--as a marriage, செய்மண்டபம். W. p. 633. MAN'DAPA. 4. [prov. for மண்டலம்.] Squares or compartments in mystic diagrams. ஆயிரக்கால்மண்டபம், s. A thousandpillared choultry, in various temples. மண்டபச்செலவு, v. noun. Expense of cloth, and other adornings, at a festival. மண்டபப்படி, s. Expense of bringing an idol to the மண்டபம், for a day. 2. Arrangement of pots, fruits, &c, as decorations of the squares. 32) *

vitāṉi (p. 394) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To canopy, to spread cloths beneath the roof of a building, or the covering of a marriage saloon, for ornament. 4)

vilācam (p. 398) s. [by transposition of letters for விசாலம்.] Spaciousness, extension, width. 2. A saloon; a large hall in a palace. விலாசமானவீடு. A spacious house. அதைக்கொஞ்சம்விலாசமாக்கவேணும். I must make it a little wider. 55) *
