oṟṟu (p. 84) s. A mute consonant, மெய் யெழுத்து. 2. Spying, espionage, searching, agency, வேவு. 3. A messenger, an agent or emissary, தூதன். 4. A spy, வேவுகாரன். ஒற்றர், s. Spies, searchers, emissaries, வேவுகாரர். 2. The confidential agents or messengers of a prince whether employed in his own dominion or another's, for a good or bad purpose, தூதர். ஒற்றராலக்கணத்தேயுணர்ந்து. Being acquainted (with the counsels of the enemy) at that time through the spies. (பார.) கன்னலொன்றளவைதன்னிற்கந்தவேளொற்றன்யா க்கை சின்னபின்னங்களாகச்செய்குவன். I would tear to pieces the body of Veeravagu, Skandar's emissary, in the space of an hour. (ஸ்காந்.) ஒற்றளபு--ஒற்றளபெடை, s. The insertion of a consonant in verse to lengthen the sound. See அளபெடை. ஒற்றாடல், v. noun. The act of directing spies. ஒற்றாளுதல், v. noun. Employing spies or secret messengers, தூதரையாளுதல். ஒற்றுக்கேடு, s. The elision of a consonant. ஒற்றுக்கேட்டல், v. noun. Overhearing. ஒற்றுப்பெயர்த்தல், v. noun. [in மி றைக்கவி.] Constructing a species of verse so artfully that, independent of the main sense, other meanings may be contained in it, மிறைக்கவியினோருறுப்பு--as அம்புத்தலை, the head of an arrow is அப்பு த்தலை, when the mute is hardened--which means the new head--besides the original meaning. ஒற்றெழுத்து, s. An inanimate consonant, மெய்யெழுத்து. ஒற்றொழிபாட்டு, s. A verse that contains no mute consonants, மெய்யெழு த்தில்லாப்பாட்டு. 27)

caruvam (p. 168) --சர்வம், s. [numeral and plural.] Universality, entireness, the whole, அனைத்தும். W. p. 98. SARVVA.--Note. All the derivatives are very commonly written சர், and not சரு. சருவகாரியமும்--சர்வகாரியமும். Every thing. சருவத்திராளும். All people universally; [ex திராள், a Sans. plu. affix.] சருவமும். Universality, entireness. சருவகர்த்தருத்துவம், s. Omnipotence; [ex கர்த்தருத்துவம், agency.] சருவகாருண்ணியர், s. The universally benevolent Being. சருவகாரணர், s. The Author or Cause of all things. சருவகொள்ளை, s. Plundering the whole. சருவக்கியத்துவம்--சருவஞ்ஞத்துவம் --சருவக்கியானம்--சருவஞானம், s. Omniscience. (Sa. Sarvvagnatva.) சருவஞானி, s. The omniscient deity, கடவுள். 2. A sage who by devotion is supposed to have obtained omniscience. சருவசங்கப்பரித்தியாகம், s. Relinquishing all society. See under சங்கம். சருவசங்காரம், s. The entire destruction of the universe. சருவசங்காரகாலம், s. The time of the universal destruction. சருவசனவசீகரன், s. One who by good deportment, fair speech, enchantment, or other means, secures the good will of all. சருவசாட்சி, s. God--as the witness of all things, the searcher of all. சருவசித்தி, s. The eight superhuman powers, அஷ்டமாசித்தி. 2. Power to succeed in every thing. See சித்தி. சருவசீவதயாபரன், s. God--as benevolent to all creatures. சருவசீவர்கள், s. All created living beings. சருவஞ்ஞன், s. The omniscient, the deity--oppo. to கிஞ்சிஞ்ஞன். சருவதப்பறை, s. Full of errors. சருவதப்பறைப்பஞ்சாங்கத்துக்கு அறுபதுநாழிகை யுந்தியாச்சியம். A miscalculated almanac makes the whole sixty native hours of the day as rejected time.--Note. There are three or four நாழிகை in every day deemed inauspicious for entering on any good action. சருவத்தியாகம், s. Giving up all things, total and absolute renunciation of the world, the will, &c., from religious motives, முற்றுந்துறத்தல். சருவநாசம், s. Entire destruction. (c.) சருவபரிபூரணர், s. God--as filling all things, the all-pervading. சருவபூஷணம், s. As சர்வாலங்காரம். சருவமானியம், s. Fields, &c., exempted from taxes; a privilege granted by the ruling powers, இறையின்றிக்கொ டுக்கப்பட்டபூமி. சருவலோகம், s. All worlds, the universe. சருவவல்லமை, s. Almightiness, omnipotence. சருவவல்லவர், s. The almighty, the omnipotent. சருவவியாபகம், s. Ubiquity, omnipresence. See வியாபகம். சருவவியாபி, s. The deity--as allpervading. சருவாங்கம், s.
