tiṭukku (p. 238) s. [in combination.] Sudden fear, shudder, terror, &c., as திடுக்கம். திடுக்குத்திடுக்கெனல், v. noun. Starting repeatedly through fear, weak nerves, &c. 2. Being subject to paroxysms of fear. 3. Beating, throbbing, palpitating of the heart through fear. See திக்குத்திக்கெனல். நெஞ்சுதிடுக்குத்திடுக்கென்றிருக்கிறது. The heart beats through fear. 8)

nṭungku (p. 268) கிறேன், நடுங்கினேன், வேன், நடுக்க, v. a. To shake, tremble, shudder, shiver, quiver; to quake as the earth, அசைய. 2. To tremble through fear, to be agitated, பற்ற. (c.) நடுங்கநாட்டம், s. [in love poetry.] Inquiries put by the female companion to the young lady, so as to cause her to fear, அகப்பொருட்கிளவியினொன்று. (p.) நடுங்கலன், s. [prov. fem. நடுங்கலி.] A palsied man, one who shakes through palsy, நடுக்கல்வாதக்காரன். நடுக்கம், v. noun. Trembling, shaking, quaking, shivering, tremulousness, agitation, trepidation, கிறுகிறுப்பு. 2. (fig.) Great fear, அச்சம். (c.) அவனுக்குஎன்பேரைக்கேட்டால்நடுக்கம்.
