veṟi (p. 401) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To be drunk, or intoxicated, வெறிகொள்ள. 2. To be tantalized, to pant after, உண வுக்கேமாற. 3. To stare, திகைக்க. 4. To become lonely, solitary--as a palace, or a king's court in his absence, வெறுமையாக. (c.) அவனுக்குவெறித்தது. He is intoxicated. காலம்வெறித்துக்கிடக்கிறது. It is a time of dearth. வெறிக்கவுஞ்சினக்கவும்பார்க்கிறான். He looks furious. மரம்வெறித்துக்கிடக்கிறது. The tree has been lopped. (R.) வெறிக்கப்பார்க்க, inf.
