kuṇkku (p. 118) s. Crookedness, flexture, curvature, கோணல்; [ex குட, crooked.] 2. Thwartness, opposition, thwarting, எதிரி டை. 3. The east, கிழக்கு--Note. In the last sense, the word becomes குண to convey an adjective signification--as in குணகடல், குணதிசை, குணநாடு. குணக்குப்பண்ண, inf. To stoop, condescend; to yield, தாழ. 4. (சது.) To pity, commiserate, relent, grieve, இரங்க. குனியநிமிரமாட்டான்.
