Earth, land, as distinguished from sea, பூமி. 7. The world, உலகம். 8. Side, region, quarter, பக்கம். --Note. The five principal countries of SouthernIndia, are: 1. தொண்டவளநாடு, Tonda; 2. சோழவளநாடு. Chola; 3. பாண்டிவளநாடு; Pandia; 4. கொங்குவளநாடு. Kongu; 5. மலைநாடு, Malyalam. Of districts are தொட்டியநாடு, Dottiya; நாஞ்சிநாடு, in Malyalam, and மறவ வாடு, the Marava province. நாடெங்கும்வாழக்கேடொன்றுமில்லை. When a country prospers, there is no insurrection. (சது.) நாட்டுச்சந்தம்--நாட்டுப்பாங்கு, s. Slovenly or rustic habits of dress, behavior or talk. நாட்டுச்சார்பு, s. Agricultural tracts, மருதநிலம். நாட்டுச்சிறப்பு, s.
