tēvatattaṉ (p. 259) s. The younger brother of Bud'dha, புத்தன்றம்பி. 2. One of the ten vital airs, that which is exhaled in yawning, தசவாயுவிலொன்று. 3. The air necessary for removing weariness and producing perspirtion. (See வாய்வு.) --Note. In வேதாந்தசூடாமணி it is given as that which produces smiling and speaking. 21) *

tēvatā (p. 259) s. (St.) A deity, &c. See தேவதை. தேவதாசொரூபி, s. A sacred, holy divine person, one of special sanctity, திவ்வியசொரூபி. 2. A female of eminent beauty, அதிசுந்தரமுள்ளவள். தேவதாயோக்கியம், s. Divine excellence, as applied either to the celestials or holy men; also to any thing superexcellent in savor, beauty, &c., worthy of the gods, திவ்வியமேன்மை, Used also in irony. 22) *

tēvatai (p. 259) s. [pl. தேவதைகள்.] A goddess, தேவி. 2. A deity, தேவன். --Three are in common use, as கிராமதேவதை, க்ஷுத் திரதேவதை, and பரதேவதை, which see. தேவதைக்குறை, s. A disease, chiefly in women and children, supposed to result from possession by an evil spirit. தேவதைத்தொடர்ச்சி, s. Possession by a demon. See தொடர்ச்சி. 23) *
