urṟṟu (p. 64) கிறேன், உரற்றினேன், வேன், உரற்ற, v. n. To sound, resound, make a loud noise, ஒலிக்க. (p.) உரற்றியகன்மழையும்பர்சூழ்ந்தென. As if a heavy rattling shower of hall had filled the sky. (ஸ்காந்தம்.) உந்தினன்றிசைதொறுமுரற்றிவீழவே. He scattered the things which, when they fell, caused the whole hemisphere to resound. (ஸ்காந்தம்.) உரற்றல், v. noun. urumu (p. 65) --உருமேறு, s. A thunderbolt, இடி. (p.) உருகெழுகணையொலியுருமு. Very loud thundering of the tremendous arrows. உருமுக்குரல், s. A terrific, thundering noise. உருமுக்குரனாய், s. A dog whose bark alarms. 29)

kurl (p. 125) s. (from Sans. Kura, to sound.) Voice, the voice of one person as distinguished from another, மிடற்றாற்பிறக்கும் இசை. 2. A good or clear voice; a singing voice, சந்தம். 3. The voice of birds, beasts, &c., sound; musical sound, tone, ஓசை. 4. (சது.) The throat; trachea, windpipe, மிடறு. 5. The first of the seven musical tunes, prodused from the throat, மிடற்றிசை. (See இசை.) 6. The same tune on the lute or guitar, யாழ்நரம்பினோசை. 7. The first or lowest string of the guitar, யாழின் ஓர்நரம்பு. 8. A tree, பாதிரிமரம். (M. Dic. குரல்காட்ட, inf. To he hoarse--as the voice. குரல்கனக்க, inf. To become thick, heavy, masculine, &c.--as the voice. 2. To become hoarse or thick--as the voice by drinking, &c. குரலடைப்பு, v. noun. Hoarseness. குரல்வித்தியாசம், s. Difference in voice. 2. Change in a person's voice. பறவைக்குரல், s. The chirping of birds. நெடுங்குரல், s. A long clamor. நெடுங்குரல்பாய்ச்சியழ--நெடுங்குரல் விட்டழ, inf. To utter long and mournful cries--as at funerals. வெடித்தகுரல், s. A rough, coarse, dissonant voice. 2. A loud thundering voice. வேற்றுக்குரல், s. A strange voice. 2. A sound (of an animal, &c.), that has not been heard before. கூக்குரல், s. A great or loud noise, clamor. See under கூ. குரல்நயம், s. A good, singing voice. குரலோசை, s. The vocal sound, the voice. குரலெடுத்துப்பாட, inf. To lift up the voice and sing. குரலெழும்ப, inf. To rise--as the voice to higher notes, or to a higher pitch. குரல்தெளிய, inf. To become clear--as the voice in singing. குரல்விட்டுப்படிக்க, inf. To sing out, to give vent to the voice in singing or reciting. குரல்குளிற, inf. To jar--as instruments out of tune. நல்லகுரல், s. A fine voice. குரல்வளை, s. veṭi (p. 399) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. To explode, to discharge, படாரென. 2. To crack as earthen ware, to chap open, to part--as the ground, to split, பிளக்க, (c.) அவன்வெடித்தாற்போலேபேசுகிறான். He speaks in a rattling manner. வெடித்தகுரல், s. A loud, thundering voice, &c.
