tiṭl (p. 237) --திடர், s. Rising ground, high land; any little rise or elevation, as a heap or bank in a path, way or passage, &c., மேடு. 2. (சது.) A mount, hill, or hillock, மலை. 3. A sand bank, rising above water, or not; a flat shoal, dry place in a river, மணற்குன்று. 4. Prominence, protuberance, புடைப்பு. (c.) திட்டுந்திடலுமானவழி. vṟḷu (p. 380) --வறள், கிறேன், வறண்டேன், வேன், வறள, v. n. [sometimes வறல்.] To grow dry, to grow very lean, வறக்க. (c.) அவனுக்குநாவறண்டுபோயிற்று. He has dryness of the tongue. வறட்காமாலை, s. A kind of jaundice. வறட்காய்ச்சல், s. Burning fever. வறட்சி, v. noun. [improp. வரட்சி.] Drought, dryness, heat of the body. வறட்சியெடுத்தது. The body is covered with eruptions. (R.) வறட்சுண்டி, s. A species of sensitive plant, Mimosa triquetra. வறட்பூலா--வறட்பூல், s. A shrub. See பூலா. வறண்டநிலம், s. A dry field. வறளாரை, s. A plant. See ஆரை. வறளி, s.
