kontḷi (p. 146) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. To be boisterous, to roar, swell--as the sea, &c.; to raga--as anger; to storm, to bluster; to be tumultuous, பொங்கியெழ. கொந்தளிப்பு, v. noun. Boisterousness, vehemence, rage, roaring, commotion, turbulence, bluster. கொந்தளிப்படங்க, inf. To become calm--as the boisterousness of the sea. 73)

cntṭi (p. 159) s. [from Sa. Sand'ha, joining.] Thick crowding of people going and coming, a throng, mob, சனத்திரள். 2. Bustle, stir, clamor, tumultuousness, confused noise, hubbub, uproar, இரைச்சல். (c.) கலியாணச் சந்தடியிலே தாலிகட்ட மறந்தாப்போல். As if one had forgotten, in the bustle of the wedding, to tie the tali-badge; i. e. lost sight of the main point. சந்தடிகலைகின்றது.
