cimiṭṭu (p. 185) கிறேன், சிமிட்டினேன், வேன், சிமிட்ட, v. a. To make a signal with the eyes or by kmtting the eye brows; to cock or twist the eye, கண்சிமிட்ட. 2. To twinkle the eyes excessively, either naturally or through weakness; to blink, கண் ணிமைக்க. 3. To deceive artfully, to impose upon by stratagem, or sleight of hand, வஞ்சிக்க. (c.) சிமிட்டிகாட்ட, inf. To make a signal with the eyes. சிமிட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He artfully defrauded the person. சிமிட்டிவிழிக்க, inf. To twinkle the eyes naturally, or as a sign. சிமிட்டி, s. (fem.) An artful woman, a woman of loose character. (Rare.) சிமிட்டு, v. noun. Twinkling from weakness of the eyes, இமைப்பு. 2. A dexterous trick, unperceived motion, sleight of hand, &c., கைச்சிமிட்டு. 3. Unsubstantial or slight work, spuriousness, கள்ளவேலை. சிமிட்டுக்கண், s. Twinkling eyes. சிமிட்டுக்கண்ணன், s. A blinkard from weak eyes, &c. சிமிட்டுக்கள்ளி, s. As சிமிட்டி. (c.) சிமிட்டுப்பார்வை, s. Continual twinkling of the eyes. சிமிட்டுவித்தை, s. As சிமிட்டு, 2. சிமிட்டுவேலை, s. Counterfeit work, as சிமிட்டு. 2. Any curious piece of work. manship--as a cuckoo-clock, an automaton, &c., a dexterous contrivance. 4)
