vēṇṭu (p. 402) கிறேன், வேண்டினேன், வேன், வேண்ட, v. a. To beg, entreat, beseech, மன்றாட. 2. To approve, to like, விரும்ப. 3. To want, to need--Note. In this latter sense it is principally a defective or impersonal verb. It is conjugated, as வேண் டுகிறது. it is necessary; வேண்டிற்று, was necessary; வேண்டும், com. வேணும், will be necessary; negative, வேண்டாம், com. வே ணாம்; rela. part. வேண்டுகிற, வேண்டிய, வே ண்டின. எனக்கதுவேணும்.
