To dress one's self, invest, to gird, சீலைசுற்ற. 5. (in cant usage.) To circumvent, get by trickery, வஞ்சிக்க. 6. To whirl, twirl, brandish, சுழற்ற. (c.) எல்லாவற்றையுஞ்சுற்றிக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He has stolen every thing. என்னைவந்துவந்துசுற்றுகிறான். He continues to come around me, (importuning.) காலைச்சுற்றினபாம்புகடியாமல்விடாது. To rub the udder of a cow to fit it for milking. மடிகழுவ, inf. To mollify and wash the udder of a cow after calving. மடிகோல, inf. To make a large lap or fold for the reception of any thing to be given, showing greediness. மடிசுரக்க, inf. To form, as milk in the udder. மடிச்சீலை--மடிப்பை, s. A purse kept in the girdle. மடிபிடி, v. noun. Fisticuffs, scuffle, seizure of one by the waist-cloth. 2. Difficulties and quarrels between persons, சண்டை. மடிபிடிக்க, inf. To seize one by the waist-cloth. 2. To dispute, recriminate. மடிபிடிவழக்கு, s. Mutual complaint, application of two parties at once for redress, &c. மடிப்பிச்சை, s. Alms received in the cloth. 2. [prov.] Giving bribes, பரிதானங்கொடுத்தல். மடியிறக்குதல்--மடிவிடுதல், v. noun. Distending of the udder, before calving. மடியிலேகடட, inf. To fasten up in the waist-cloth. 2. To cover, hide, screen, obscure, shroud, veil; to filled up, covered, levelled, as--new made furrows by rain, நிரவ; [from. Sa. Muda, to cover.] வாயைமூடு. Hold your tongue. அஞ்ஞானமெங்குமூடியிருக்கிறது. Spiritual ignorance extends everywhere. மூடினமுத்துமூன்றுலோகம்பெறும்மூடாததுமுக்காற் காசும்பெறாது. A pearl kept covered [concealed] is worth three worlds, one exposed is not worth three fourths of a cash; said of the secrets in science. [prov.] மூடி, appel. n. (lit.) That which covers; a cover, lid, top, மூடுகருவி. 2. Half a cocoa-nut, as தேங்காய்மூடி. மூடிக்கொள்ளுதல், v. noun. Covering one's self. 2. [fig.] Being long covered, as with darkness, &c. மூடிவைத்தல். Covering some thing. 2. Concealing secrets. ஏன்மூடிமூடிவைக்கிறாய்......Why do you conceal the matter? மூடுகுப்பாயம், s. [prov.] A mantle or long coat. மூடுசன்னி, s. A species of apoplexy, catalepsy.
