uẕṟṟu (p. 67) கிறேன், உழற்றினேன், வே ன், உழற்ற, v. a. To twist, whirl any thing about, சுழற்ற. 2. To move about the arms, or legs through pain, கைகாலுழற்ற. 3. [prov.] To pass time tediously, to get through an irksome duty, காலத்தைவருத்தத் தோடுகழிக்க. 4. v. n. To writhe through pain, வருந்திப்புரள. உழற்றிக்கழிக்க, inf. To pass in endurance. பூண்டவேலையையொருபடியுழற்றிக்கழித்துக்கொண் டேன். I have accomplished the unpleasant business in which I was engaged. சமுசாரத்தையுழற்றிக்கழிக்க. To sustain with reluctance the cares, duties, &c. of a family. உழற்றி, v. noun. Rolling, twisting, writhing with pain, distortion, சுழலுகை. 2. Great thirst, மிகுதாகம். கையுழற்றி, s. Spasms in the arms, contractions, waving, &c. காலுழற்றி, s. Spasms in the leg, waving, &c. நாவுழற்றி, s. Thirst. நாவுழற்றியெடுக்க, inf. To suffer great thirst. 18)

neḷi (p. 281) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், நெளிய, v. n. To crawl with an undulating motion--as snakes, worms, maggots, &c., ஊர. 2. To writhe as the body through pain, to distort the limbs, &c., as a child, showing airs, கெந்த. 3. To hitch, move or shift from its place as an infant, நகர. 4. To be distorted by carrying a load; to be bent on one side, as a lame person, &c., கூன. 5. To be bent, inclined, warped--as timber, articles of furniture, &c., also to be crooked, as a road, channel, &c., வளைய. (c.) அதுநெளிந்துபோயிற்று. It is bent, applied to a tool, &c. பாதைநெளிந்துகொண்டுபோகிறது. The way is crooked. நெளிந்தஎழுத்து, s. Crooked, straggling letters in writing. நெளிந்துகொடுக்க, inf.
