He is come to the throne, he has obtained the kingdom. அரசங்கம், s. The six safe-guards of royalty; viz.: படை, குடி, கூழ், அம ச்சு, நட்பு, அரண். அரசளிக்க, inf. To govern. அரசாள, inf. To reign, govern. அரசாட்சி, v. noun. Reign, government, the exercise of government, the right of possession to the throne, இராசரிகம். அரசியல், s. Royalty, இராசாங்கம். 2. The duties or functions of a king, இராசரிகமுறைமை. They are six; viz.: அறநி லையறம், மறநிலையறம், அறநிலைப்பொருள், மறநிலைப் பொருள், அறநிலையின்பம், மறநிலையின்பம். அரசிருக்கை, s. The place of a king, or throne. அரசிறை, s. The king's tribute. அரசுசெய்ய, inf. To exercise the functions of government, govern, reign.

arcu (p. 23) --அரசமரம், s. A tree-the Ficus religiosa, Peepul, or poplarleaved fig-tree--forming one of the nine kinds of wood used in burnt offerings, ஓர்மரம். (See சமித்து.) Its seed is used for medicinal purposes. அரசாணிக்கால், s. A bough of this tree, which together with others from the கலியாணமுருக்கு, (or erythrina,) &c. is fixed between two of the interior posts of the marriage pandal, round which the parties pass, performing particular ceremonies. அரசிலை, s. The leaves of the அரசு. 2. The figure of a leaf as branded on beasts, &c., அரசிலைக்குறி. அரசிலைத்தூக்கம்--அரசிலைத்தொங் கல், s. Hangings, resembling the அரசு leaves. கொடியரசு, s. A different species of Ficus. பூவரசு, s. The portia tree, பூப் பரத்தி, Thespesia populnea, L. ஆற்றரசு, s. Another species of Ficus growing in the vicinity of rivers. 2)

A prince, king's son. இராசகோலம், s. Royal attire, princely bearing. இராசகோழை, s. A violent disease in which the phlegmatic humor is supposed to be prevalent, attended with bloody expectoration, ஓர்நோய். இராசசங்கம்--இராசசபை, s. The royal assembly, senators, courtiers. Wils. p. 72. Ensigns of royalty, regalia, the apparatus of a coronation--there are twenty-one of them, viz.: 1. முடி, crown. 2. குடை, the umbrella denoting safety and protection. 3. கவரி, hair-fans. 4. தோட்டி, elephanthook. 5. முரசு, drums. 6. சக்கரம், the discus weapon. 7. யானை, elephants. 8. கொடி, banners. 9. மதில், city-walls. 1. தோரணம், festoons or other decorations. 11. நீர்க்குடம், pots full of water with other things. 12. பூமாலை, garlands. 13. சங்கு, chanks. 14. கடல், seas. 15. மகரம், the sword fish. 16. ஆமை, turtles. 17. இணைக்கயல், a pair of carp-fish. 18. சிங் கம், lions. 19. தீபம், lamps. 2. இடபம், bulls. 21. ஆசனம், the throne. இராசசூயம், s. The divisions of a district according to the payment of the tribute, இறைக்கட்டு. இறைகுத்த, inf. To dip the finger into a fluid to ascertain its depth, விர லிறையாலளவிட. இறைகொள்ள, inf. To exact tribute, to levy taxes, திறைகொள்ள. இறைதிரிய, inf. To swerve from the rules of justice, அரசுநீதிதிறம்ப. இறைபயப்பது, appel. noun. [in rhetoric.] An indirect answer--as when one is asked if he has areca nut, he answers that he has betel, meaning that he has no areca. These modes of answering are of five kinds, விடைப்பொ ருளைத்தருவதாய்வருவது. See விடை. இறைபுரிய, inf. To hold the reins of government, அரசாட்சிசெய்ய. 2. To administer justice, நீதிசெலுத்த. இறைப்பிளவை--இறைக்கள்ளன், s. A kind of scirrhus, eruption in the finger joints or between the fingers at the roots, கையிறையில்வருமோர்புண். இறைமகள், s. A princess, a lady, இராசபுத்திரி. இறைமகன், s. A prince, a gentleman, இராசகுமாரன். 2. Skanda, முருகன். 3. Ganesa, விநாயகன். இறைமாட்சி, s. Royalty, regal dignity, royal excellencies, அரசரின்மாண்பு. இறைமாண்டார், s. Kings, those who possess regal dignity. இறைமை, s. Divinity, the divine nature, தெய்வத்தன்மை. 2. Superiority, eminence, excellence, greatness, தலைமை. 3. Royalty, dominion, government, அர சாட்சி. இறைமையாட்டி, s. A queen, அ ரசி. 2. A lady, a mistress, தலைவி. இறையனாரகப்பொருள்--இறைவ னாரகப்பொருள், s. The name of a shoe-maker who is reputed to have reigned as a king for three hours, and to have issued leather coin, அரசாண்டஓர்சக்கிலியன். நந்தன்தோற்காசுவழங்குகிறது. The leather coin of நந்தன் is current; said when a bad custom prevails. என்காரியமெல்லாம்நந்தன்படைவீடாய்ப்போயிற்று. My affairs are [ruined] like Nanda's camp. 6) *

nāṭṭu (p. 273) கிறேன், நாட்டினேன், வேன், நாட்ட, v. a. To set up, fix, plant, place in the ground--as a pole; to erect, insert, நட. 2. To establish law, customs, rules, to lay down, as a theory, opinion or assertion, ஸ்தாபிக்க. 3. To eatablish one in life, வாழ்வில்நிறுத்த. 4. To establish fame, or reputation, கீர்த்திநாட்ட. (c.) அவனோடேயிவன்எழுத்தாணிநாட்டமாட்டான். He could not set up writting styles with him; i. e. could not complete on writing. இந்தக்கட்டியிலேகத்திநாட்டப்படாது. The lancet cannot be inserted in this tumer. உலகத்தைநாட்டினவனார். Who established the world? (poetic.) தண்ணீர்நிலத்திலேகாலைநாட்டவொட்டவில்லை..... The water will not allow the foot to touch the ground. கல்யாணக்கால்நாட்டுதல், v. noun. Erecting the first pole of a nuptial booth. 2.
