arukku (p. 25) கிறேன், அருக்கினேன், வேன், அருக்க, v. a. To diminish, குறைக்க. 2. To make scarce, reduce in quantity, சுருக்க. 3. v. n. To keep back from others use, (as keeping up grain, making it scarce and dear,) to stand out in bargaining, stickle, haggle, அருக்காணிபண்ண. 4. To grudge, spare reluctantly, give sparingly, show unwillingness to serve or benefit another, அழுக்காறடைய. (திரிகடுகம்.) நீரருக்கிமோர்பெருக்கி நெய்யுருக்கியுண்பவர்தம் பே ருரைக்கப்போமே பிணி. (குற). கோட்காரன்--கோட்சொல்லி, s. A talebearer, a slanderer, an informer, a divulger. கோட்கூறு, s. [in astrol.] A division of the rising sign into thirty parts, being the number of its degrees. (See இலக்கி னம்.) 2. Good or evil from the influence of the planets, கிரகங்களின்கோளாறு. கோட்சொல்ல, inf. To calumniate, inform against. 2. To act the part of a tale-bearer, to slander, to divulge secrets injuriously. கோளன், s. A tale-bearer, கோளுரைப் போன். கோள்குண்டணி, s. Tale-bearing and calumny. (c.) கோள்முடிய, inf. [prov.] To fabricate or tell tales; to enrage another's mind by slanderous reports. காணுங்கோள், s. The visible planets. See கிரகம். கரந்துறைகோள், s. See under குண்டு. தளச்சட்டி--பதலைச்சட்டி--பெருஞ் சட்டி, s. A large pan. (R.) போகணிச்சட்டி, s. A brass or tin pan. பொரிக்குஞ்சட்டி, s. A frying pan. சட்டியுருட்ட, inf. cerukku (p. 204) கிறேன், செருக்கினேன், வேன், செருக்க, v. n. To be dizzy, giddy; to be stupified, faint, or to have nausea, from taking strong areca-nuts, &c., தலைகிறுகிறுக்க. 2. To be choked by a bone, or a piece of areca-nut, stopped in the throat, பாக்கடை க்க. 3. To be proud, vain, self-conceited, அகங்கரிக்க. 4. To be wilful, wanton, presumptuous, rash, கர்வமாயிருக்க. 5. To be infatuated, to have the mental powers deluded, or the reason under the dominion of the senses, மயக்கமுற. 6. [prov.] Stupifying areca-nuts. மதஞ்செருக்க, inf. To be mad with lust. செல்வச்செருக்க, inf. To be intoxicated with prosperity. 67)

tāpaṉam (p. 233) --ஸ்தாபனம், s. Establishing, founding, நிறுத்துகை. 2. Settlement, establishment, institution, நிலை. 3.
