An insect that lives in the brinjall plant, கத்தரிச்செடியிலு ண்டாகுமோர்பூச்சி. ஆனைமஞ்சள், s. A plant, ஓர்பூடு. ஆனைமதம், s. An elephant's rut. ஆனைமத்தகம், s. An elephant's skull or part of the head, கும்பம். இ. A short letter, similar to I in English, ஓர்குற்றெழுத்து. 2. A demonstrative prefix, சுட்டெழுத்து--as இந்த, this. 3. A termination of the second person singular, முன்னிலையொருமைவிகுதி--as உண்டி, thou hast eaten. 4. An imperative second person singular, முன்னிலையேவலொருமைவிகுதி-as சொல்லுதி, say thou. 5. A feminine appellative termination, பெண்பால்விகுதி-as கூனி, a hump-backed woman. 6. An elephant's back. ஆனையடி, s. The footsteps of an elephant. ஆனையறுகு, s. A kind of grass, ஓரறுகு. ஆனையறையும்புள்--ஆனையிறாஞ்சி ப்புள்--அனையுண்குருகு, s. Abundance, copiousness, luxuriance, மிகுதி; [ex அகலல், extending.] (p.) ஆன்றகுணம், s. The highest quality. ஆன்றபுவி, s. The extended earth. ஆன்றவர்--ஆன்றார்--ஆன்றோர், s. Learned persons, the wise, poets, the great--as sages, &c., those who are great in moral excellence, சான்றோர். ஆன்றார்கேட்கிற்செவிபுதைக்கும். āṟṟl (p. 43) s. Strength, power, prowess, ability, வலிமை. 2. Energy, spirit, முயற்சி. 3. Abundance, much copiousness, மிகுதி. 4. Wisdom, knowledge of divine things, ஞானம். 5. Though the fortitude with which those who practise austerities endure their hunger is very great, yet it is inferior to the energy of the generous who feed the hungry. ஆற்றல்கேடு, s. Great weakness from sickness, great fatigue, வலியழிவு. (c.) ஆற்றறுக்க, inf. To deprive one of power, reduce his strength, &c., desert him in time of need, வலிகெடுக்க. 69)

One who perversely persists in application for aid through poverty, one past shame, an insatiable wretch. ஆற்றாத்தனம், s. Insatiableness. ஆற்றாப்பட்சம், s. What cannot be borne, intolerableness--as ஆற்றாமை. ஆற்றாமை, neg. v. noun. Inability to bear--as excessive hunger, pain, &c., சகிக்கக்கூடாமை. 2. Impatience, பொறா மை. 3. Voracity, voraciousness, insatiableness, திருத்தியின்மை. ஆற்றார், s. Foes, opponents, rivals, those who envy one, பகைவர். 2. The poor, the afflicted, தரித்திரர். (p.) ஆற்றிக்கொடுக்க, inf.
