eẕuppu (p. 75) கிறேன், எழுப்பினேன், வேன், எழுப்ப, v. a. To awake, rouse, start, துயிலெழுப்ப. 2. To raise one that is prostrate, or sitting, cause, or help to rise, தூக்க. 3. To raise from the dead, resuscitate, restore to life, உயிரோடெழுப்ப. 4. To raise from sickness, excite, rouse, stimulate, inspire, பலம்வருவிக்க. 5. To instigate, agitate, cause a stir, a quarrel, war, சண் டைமூட்ட. 6. To raise the voice in speaking or singing to a high pitch, இசையெழுப் ப. 7. To dislodge, or eject one, turn out, &c., கிளப்பிவிட. 8. To excite, or inflame the passions, stir up, கோபமுதலியனவெழுப்ப. 9. To raise a building, வீடெழுப்ப. முயலையுமெழுப்பிநாளையுமுச்சுக்காட்டுகிறது.
