oñcrikk (p. 81) inf. To leave a thing-as a door, &c., half open or inclined, சிறித சாத்த. 2. To go sideways, ஒருபக்கமாய்ப் போக. See ஒருசரிக்க. (c.) கதவையொஞ்சரித்துவிடு. Leave the door half open. ஒஞ்சரிதீர்ப்பு--ஒஞ்சரிவழக்கு, s. A partial decision, ஓரவஞ்சகமானதீர்ப்பு. ஒஞ்சரித்துப்படுக்க, inf. To lie sideways. 39)

otungku (p. 82) கிறேன், ஒதுங்கினேன், வேன், ஒதுங்க, v. n. To subside, recede, retreat, retire--as for shelter, drift ashore, to a hedge or wall on one side, &c., to be put into a corner, on one side, to pass one side-ways, with marks of respect, &c., பதுங்க. 2. To walk, pass, go, நடக்க. 3. [used impersonally.] To become furnished, settled, adjusted, to come to an end, தீர. காரியமொதுங்கியிருக்கிறது. The affair is settled. அவருடையபெருமையெல்லாமொதுங்கிப்போயிற்று. All his pride is brought down. செந்தளிரொதுங்கமிளிர்சீறடியொதுங்கி. He is grown poor (in body and circumstances). ஒதுக்குக்குடி, s. A family or person lodging in another's house, garden, &c. See ஒட்டுக்குடி. ஒதுங்கிடம், s. Place of retreat, shelter, resort, ஒதுங்குமிடம். ஒதுங்கிநடக்க, inf. To pass sideways as an act of reverence, or as one of the inferior castes. 2. To keep out of the way of an evil person, a wild beast, &c. ஒதுங்கிப்போக, inf. To get out of the way of a person. ஒதுங்கிவர, inf. To turn in. ஒதுக்கம், v. noun. Seclusion, sequestration, separation, ஒதுங்கியிருக்கை. 2. Walking, gait, நடை. 3. Crouching, stooping, humbling one's self, பதுங்குகை. 4. Retiring, receding, retreating--as for shelter, பின்னிடுகை. ஒதுக்கமுள்ளவன், s. A person of modest mien. 6)

To give place to another (in sitting, meeting in the road, &c.), to recede, விலக. 5. [prov.] To move by leaps as a beast with its forelegs tied together, தத்த. 6. To tug as a beast in order to break its rope, தும்பையிழுக்க. ஒற்றிநட. Walk aside மாடொற்றியொற்றிப்போகின்றது. The cow goes by leaps. எருதுகயிற்றையொற்றியிழுக்கின்றது. To absorb or extract moisture by touching it with an absorbent. ஒற்றியொற்றிக்கூட்ட, inf. To encroach by little and litte on another's land. ஒற்றிவைக்க, inf. To set one aside, further off, out of the way, தூரவை க்க. பொட்டணமொற்ற, inf. To apply cloths--as in fomentations, &c. ஒற்று, v. noun.
