kāṟu (p. 106) கிறேன், காறினேன், வேன், காற, v. a. To hawk, to hawk up phlegm, &c., காறி யுமிழ. 2. v. n. To taste bitter, musty, or rancid--as stale food, காறலாயுருசிக்க. கத்தரிக்காய் காறுகின்றது. The cooked brinjal tastes bitter. காறித்துப்ப--காறிப்போட--காறியுமிழ, inf. To hawk and spit. எல்லாரும் உன்முகத்திற் காறித்துப்புவார்கள்.... Every body will hawk and spit on your face; i.e. if you act thus, every one will treat you with contumely. காறல், s. A bitter, musty flavor, producing often a tendency to hawk and spit; the bitter taste of stale food; rancidity, காறுகிறருசி. 2. kkku (p. 85) கிறேன், கக்கினேன், வேன், கக்க. v. a. To vomit. to cast from the mouth or stomach, சத்திசெய்ய. 2. To eject poison--as a snake, நஞ்சுகால. 3. v. n. To rebound--as a nail. ஆணிமுதலியவெதிரெழ. 4. To overflow--as a tank, &c., நீர்கக்க. 5. To shoot out ears of corn, கதிரீன. 6. kttṉ (p. 92) s. An agent, a doer, a maker, an author, &c., செய்பவன். See கந்தன். The word is also written கருத்தன். Sans. கர்த்தா. அவனேவெட்டவும்விடவுங்கத்தன். He can either behead him or spare him; i. e. he has arbitrary power. கத்தராளி, s. [prov. vul.] A chief, a principal, an owner, a competent person, தலைவன். அவன்அதற்குக்கத்தராளியோ.
