kilukilukk (p. 111) inf. To rattle; to make a tinkling, crackling sound; to ring, கிலுகி லென்றொலிக்க. கிலுகிலுப்பை, s. The name of a plant whose seeds rattle in the legumen, when ripe and dry, ஓர்செடி, Crotolaria labumifolia, L. 2. A kind of child's rattle, ஓர் விளையாட்டுக்கருவி. கிலுகிலுப்பைக்குட்டான், s. [prov.] A child's basket-rattle. வட்டக்கிலுகிலுப்பை--வெள்ளைக்கிலுகிலு ப்பை, s. A species of the கிலுகிலுப்பை plant, Crotolaria verrucosa. கிலுகிலெனல், v. noun. Rattling--as seed, &c., ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. 2. Sounding, buzzing--as flies swarming; swarming, collecting thick together--as maggots in a sore, crawling one over another, &c., தேனீமுதலியமூசல். ஈசல் கிலுகிலென்றெழும்புகின்றது. The winged white-ants are swarming, and flying up with a buzz. சனங்கள் கிலுகிலென்றுவந்துவிழுந்தார்கள். The people thronged or flocked rapidly one after another. 28)

kiḷḷu (p. 112) கிறேன், கிள்ளினேன், வேன், கிள்ள, v. a. To pinch with the finger and thump, the nails, &c., கையாற்கிள்ள. 2. To pinch off, to pluck, to nip, to pick--as a leaf, &c., இலைமுதலியகிள்ள. 3. To hold, take up, carry, &.--as with the beak, the fingers and thump, &c.; to take up a little, a pinch, &c., கொஞ்சமாயெடுக்க. வயிறுகிள்ளுகிறது. I am pinched with hunger. கிள்ளாக்கு, s. A bit of leaf, especially an ola given as a token of being sent by some superior, அதிகாரநறுக்கு. 2. A note of hand, a bit of leaf, a token from a person in authority--as a passport, warrant, letter of introduction, &c., உத்தார ச்சீட்டு. கிள்ளாப்பிறாண்டு, s. [prov.] A kind of child's play, pinching, ஓர்விளையாட்டு. 2. fig. Want of attention to guests, at a feast; distribution to them in small quantities, அலட்சியம். கிள்ளாப்பிறாண்டுபண்ண, inf. To supply guests too sparingly. 2. To take sparingly at a feast from modesty, delicacy, &c. 3. To give stintingly in charity, &c. கிள்ளிக்காட்ட, inf. To give a hint, a signal; also a summery, &c.; lit. a pinch. கிள்ளிக்கொடுக்க, inf. To give a little from a great quantity. 2. To give but little, a pinch, &c. கிள்ளித்தெளிக்கமாட்டான். local. He will not even give a jerk. கிள்ளிப்பிடுங்க, inf. To pinch and pluck off. கிள்ளிவிட, inf. To stir up; to excite, to instigate. கிள்ளிவைக்க, inf. To set or take a little from a heap--as the small mnemonic heaps in measuring grain. கிள்ளுகீரை, s. Greens plucked off from the root. அவன்உனக்குக்கிள்ளுக்கீரையோ. Is he a mere youngster, that you may cuff him as you please? கிள்ளுக்கீரைப்பண்ண, inf. To insult, to treat insultingly. கிள்ளுக்கீரையாய்நினைத்துப்பேச, inf. To speak contemptibly. கிள்ளு, v. noun. A pinch, a nip; a little piece of betel-leaf, tobacco, &c., கிள்ளப் பட்டதுண்டு. 2. A pinch in quantity, துணி க்கை. கிள்ளுங்கிழியுமாய்ப்போகக்கடவது. To understand a book, science, &c., thoroughly. கரைகண்டவன், s. One who is skilled in business. கரைகாணாதது, appel. noun. That which is inexplorable, incomprehensible, unascertainable. கரைகாணாப்பேரொளி, s. The infinitely great light; i. e. God. கரைக்கல்லோலம், s. The sponge, கடற்பாசி. கரைக்காற்று, s. To land one on the shores of bliss--the office of a Guru or spiritual guide. கரைப்பாதை--கரைவழி, s. Journeying by land, land travel. கரைப்போக்கு, s. The sea-coast, கரையோரம், 2. A way by land, கரைவழி. 3. [vul.] A bastard gem, போலிமணி. 4. vul. Any thing base or inferior, இழி வானது. கரைப்்போக்குக்கல்--கரைப்போக் குப்பொடி, s. A bastard gem found in alluvial soil. கரைப்போக்குமனிதன், s. The same as அநுலோமன். கரையடுக்க, inf. To get near the shore, கரையைக்கிட்ட. 2. To become near --as the shore, கரைகிட்ட. கரையார், s. A respectable caste of fishermen, வலைஞர். கரையாளன், s. One of the proprietors of a village. கரையிட, inf. To assign portions of land to be cultivated. கரையேற--கரைசேர, inf. To get ashore, to land, to be landed, கரையைய டைய. 2. To be rescued from the sea of transmigrations, to be saved, நற்கதியடை ய. 3. To attain an object of desire, விரும்பியதடைய. 4. To rise from distress, sickness, indigent circumstances, &c., to be re-established in life, to become thrifty after poverty, or embarrassment, வருத்தத்தினின்றுநீங்க. 5. To get well married--as a poor girl, வாழ்வடைய. கரையேற்ற, inf. To save, rescue, restore, redeem, கதியிற் சேர்க்க. 2. To raise one from indigence, reinstate, or reestablish one in good circumstances, துன் பத்தினின்றுநீக்க. 3. To emancipate from births, பிறவியொழிக்க. 4. To marry and settle a destitute girl,விவாகம்பெறச்செய்ய. கரையேற்றம், v. noun Salvation, rescue, deliverance, either from temporal, or eternal evils, தியடைகை. 2. Attainment of a desired good, விரும்பியதடை கை. 3. Establishment in, or a restoration, to prosperous circumstances after poverty, துன்பத்தினின்றுநீங்குகை. 4. The marriage of a destitute girl, விவாகப்பேற டைகை. 5. The final deliverance of the soul, பிறவியொழிகை. ஒருகாலத்திலுங்கரையேற்றமில்லாதநரகத்திற்கி டப்பான். He will lie in hell from which there is no possibility of escape. கரையோரம், s. Coast, brink, edge of the shore or bank. கரையோரத்திலேபோக, inf. To go along shore. கரைவலை, s. [prov.] A drag-net, a draw-net. கரைவலைக்காரர், s. Persons who fish with the drag-net. கரைவலைத்தோணி, s. A dhoney for fishing with a drag-net. கரைவலையிழுக்க, inf. To drag a net in fishing. கரைவழி, s.
