kiṇṟu (p. 109) s. A well, கூவல். 2. A tank, கேணி. (p.) கிணறுகட்ட, inf. To wall a well. 2. To curb a well. கிணறுவெட்ட, inf. To dig or sink a well. கிணறுவெட்டப் பூதம்புறப்பட்டாற்போல். As a goblin appeared at the digging of the well; i.e. as an unexpected evil resulted where good was sought. கிணறெடுக்க, inf. To select astrologically a spot for a well, in reference to the situation of the house, and other surrounding objects; also to the nature of the soil, the depth at which water may be found, &c. கிணற்றங்கரை, s. Brink or border of a well; the bordering vicinity of a well. கிணற்றுக்கட்டு, s. The walling of a well; the curb of a well. கிணற்றுக்கல், s. Well-bricks or stones. கிணற்றுப்பொங்கல், v. noun. Boiling rice to Bhairava of the lower region, on the appearance of water in digging wells. கிணற்றுமிதி, s. The stand for the waterdrawer. கிணற்றோரம், s. Margin of a well. கற்கிணறு, s.
