kuḷikai (p. 130) --குடிகை, s., A pill, a bolus, மாத்திரை. Wils. p. 294. GULIKA. and 291. GUD'IKA. தம்பிஒருரசகுளிகையாக்கும். He seems like one who has taken a magical pill. குளிகாசித்தி, s. The power of magic by means of mercurial or other pills, enabling persons to pass through the air instantaneously. குளிகைகட்ட, inf. To make, by a chemical process, pills, common or magical. 2. To consolidate--as mercury, &c., இறு கச்செய்ய. 3. To tie a pill about the body --as an amulet, or medical preventive against poisonous bites. 4. To fasten a magical pill on the body in order to obtain supernatural power, சித்திக்குளிகை கட்ட. குளிகையிட, inf. To insert a pill in an incision made in the body; to check or counteract the influence of poisonous bites, &c., or to communicate supernatural powers. குளிகையுருட்ட, inf. To roll pills. குளிகைவார்க்க, inf. To give a dissolved pill. சித்தர்குளிகை, s. A magical pill by which one is supposed to be enabled to fly where be may please, and perform supernatural feasts. தம்பனக்குளிகை, s. A magical pill by which one is supposed to be enable to suppress, or stop, the natural course of things. 14)

kulai (p. 127) s. A cluster; a bunch of fruit, flowers, keys, &c., கொத்து. 2. Notches or contrivances in a bow, to receive the string, விற்குதை. 3. The lower end of an arrow, அம்பின்குதை. 4. An artificial bank of a paddy field, a dam, a causeway, செய் கரை. 5. The viscera--as the liver, &c., ஈரற்குலைமுதலியன. என்குலைபதைக்கின்றது. My heart goes pita-part; my heart palpitates. ஒருகுலைக்காய், s. A person of the same consanguinity; lit. a fruit of the same cluster. குலைகுலையாய், adv. In bunches. முந்திரிகைப்பழங் குலைகுலையாய்த் தூங்குகின்றது. The grapes hang in thick clusters. குலையோடே, adv. All at once, the whole without exception. குலைதள்ள--குலைபோட, inf. To form --as clusters, bunches, &c., of fruits or flowers. குலைதறி, v. noun. Cutting off a bunch of fruit at once. குலைநெறியற்றேங்காய், s. [prov.] Cocoanuts, pressed and deformed in the bunch. குலைநெருக்கம், v. noun. Being crowded --as a bunch or bunches of fruits, &c. குலைவிலை, s. [prov.] The sale of palmyra fruits while on the tree. திராட்சக்குலை, s. A bunch of grapes. குலைமுட்டி--குலையெரிவு, s. Heartburning. குலையாத்திரம், s. An unsatiable appetite; a carving for food. குலைநோய்--குலைவலி, s. Heart-burn, cardialgia. குலைபடுவன், s. [prov.] Tumors, ulcers, &c., in the liver, lungs, &c. நெஞ்சாங்குலை, s. [local.] The breast; thorax. 2. The pit of the stomach. குலைக்கல், s. Bezoar, கோரோசனம். 50)

To close; to join the hands conically, கைகுவிக்க. 4. To contract the lips in kissing, &c., இதழ்குவிக்க. 5. To cover, to hide, to conceal, ஒளிக்க. 6. To reverence, adore, worship, ஆராதிக்க. 4. To beg, solicit, crave, entreat, கெஞ்ச. கும்பிடப்போனதெய்வங்குறுக்கேவந்ததுபோல் நீவந் தாய். I met you, as if I had met the god whom I was going to worship. கும்பிடப்போனவன்தலையிலேகோயிலிடிந்துவிழுந்தா ற்போல. As if the temple had fallen on the head of him who repaired to it for worship; said of occurrences quite opposite to expectation. கும்பிடுகள்ளன், s. A hypocritical worshipper; a cunning person. கையெடுத்துக்கும்பிட, inf. To worship or make obeisance, by raising the joined hands. கோயில்கும்பிட, inf. To raise the hands in worship, at a temple, either in passing by, or as an attendant worshipper. கும்பிட்டகைக்குக்கொடுக்க, inf. To make a present to the bridegroom or bride, and sometimes to others, when they raise their hands in reverence to their superiors on the day of marriage&c., or to a girl on becoming marriage able. கும்பிடாதவனைக்கும்பிட, inf. To be obliged to serve or ask favors of a mean person. கும்பிடரி, s. [local.] A bundle of sheaves given to the chief of the village or to the temple. கும்பிடுகிளிஞ்சில், s. A species of cockle, a bivalve shell. கும்பிடுபூச்சி, s. [prov.] A class of insects bordering on the vegetable kingdom, whose feelers resemble hands raised in worship. கும்பிடு, v. noun.
