tōy (p. 264) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், தோய, v. n. To plunge in water, நீரில்மூழ்க. 2. To bathe, commonly in cold water, and without anointing, குளிக்க. 3. To become wet, soaked, sopped, steeped, நனைய. 4. To mix, to blend, mingle, to commingle, to unite with, as in company, கலக்க. 5. To touch to come in contact with, to be trailed on the ground as a garment or tail, நிலத்திற் பதிய. (c.) நச்செழுத்துத்தோயப்பாடினான். He has tempered his verses with malign letters. தோயாமற்பேச, inf. To speak in ambiguous terms, so as not to commit one's self, or divulge a secret. (c.) தோயப்பம், s. A pan-cake, தோசை. தோயல்--தோய்வு, v. noun. Mixing, கலத்தல். 2. Bathing, dipping, குளித்தல். 3. As துவையல், which see. தோயல்வாய்த்தல், v. noun.
