tōl (p. 264) தோற்கிறேன், தோற்றேன், தோற் பேன், தோற்க, v. n. (with the dative.) To failing rivalry, contest, gemes, &c., to be the inferior, தோற்படைய. 2. To be defeated, discomfited, vanquished, அபசயப்பட. 3. To fall in comparison. தாழ. 4. To yeild, to finich, to be content to lose, to give away voluntarily, to forbear revenging an affront, enforcing a right, &c. பொறு க்க. 5. To be confuted, refuted, &c., நியா யத்தில்தோற்க. 6. v. a. Sitting on the shoulder, and biting off the ear of the carrier; i. e. injuring a benefactor. தோள்காய்க்கிறது. The shoulder becomes callous. தோளணி, s.
