Pots supporting garlands, &c. See under கால். தோரணங்கட்ட-தோரணந்தூக்க--தோ ரணம்போட, inf. To make lines and decorations as ornaments, &c. 2. To hang up a string of mango leaves over the door of a temple, or across the road, as an suspicious sight. தோரணதீபம்--தோரணவிளக்கு, s. tōḷ (p. 264) s. [probably from Sa. Dos.] Shoulder, புயம். 2. Arm down to the hand, கை. (சது.) தோளிலிருந்துசெவியைக்கடிக்கிறது. Sitting on the shoulder, and biting off the ear of the carrier; i. e. injuring a benefactor. தோள்காய்க்கிறது. The shoulder becomes callous. தோளணி, s. A shoulder ornament, an epaulet, &c., வாகுவலயம். தோள்கொடுக்க, inf. To help by giving the shoulder. 2. To carry, as the bearer of a palankeen. 3. To help one in an emergency. தோள்தட்ட--தோள்கொட்ட, inf. To clap the shoulder, in defiance, in triumph, &c. தோள்பட்டை, s. See தோட்பட்டை. தோள்மாற--தோள்மாற்ற, inf. To change shoulders. 2. To relieve another in bearing. தோள்மூட்டு, s. Phenomena, நூதனக்காட்சி. The two classes of தோற்றம், or beings produced, are:--1. சரம், moveable creatures. 2. அசரம், inanimate beings, &c., which see. The four class of தோற்றம். 1. பை, or சார யுகம், viviparous, womb-born. 2. முட்டை, or அண்டசம், oviparous or egg-born. 3. நிலம், or உற்பீசம், germinating from the earth by seeds, &c. 4. வியர்வை, or சுவேதசம், insects supposed to be engendered by perspiration, &c., which see severally. வெள்ளிதோற்றம், s. The appearance of stars, as denoting the time of the evening auspicious for marriage, &c. பேய்த்தோற்றம், s. An appearance of an evil spirit. நிலாத்தோற்றம், s. Rising of the moon. தோற்றக்கவி, s. [loc. கட்டியக்காரன்கவி.] A verse sung immediately before the appearance of a person on the stage. தோற்றத்தரு, s. [prov.] The verse and tune sung at the appearance of a person on the stage, who dances round the area while it is sung. தோற்றப்பட, inf. To appear, to be visible, to be conspicuous. 2. To be formed to come into existence, to be born. தோற்றமாக, inf. To appear on the stage. 2. As தோற்றப்பட. தோற்றமொடுக்கம், s.
