nīṭu (p. 277) . An adverbial particle used in combination to express extension or duration of time or space, or a long time, நெடுங்காலமட்டும்; [ex நீடு, v.] நீடுவாழ்வார். They shall live long. (p.) நீடுநினைந்திரங்கல், v. noun. [in love poetry.] The grief of the husband on account of the absence of the wife, அகப்பொருட்டுறையினொன்று. நீடோடநடக்க, inf. To last a long time. (R.) 242)
