neruñci (p. 280) --நெருஞ்சில், s. [com. நெ ரிஞ்சி.] A thorny plant or thistle, small caltrope, Tribulus terrestris, L.--Of நெ ருஞ்சி there are different kinds, கொடிநெ ருஞ்சி, a running thistle; செப்புநெருஞ்சி, a thistle with a red flower; பெருநெருஞ்சி, a large thistle, Tribulus longinous; சிறு நெருஞ்சி, a small species of the plant; ஆனை நெருஞ்சி, a large leaved thistle. See these in their places. நெருஞ்சிமுள், s. The thorns of the plant. 2. The caltrope weapon, ஓர்கருவி. நெருஞ்சிமுள்தைத்தாலுங்குனிந்தல்லவோபிடுங்க வேணும். If the நெருஞ்சி thorn run into the foot, must not one stoop and take it out. 3)
