parāparam (p. 298) s. Deity as composed of male and female principles, or as managing, controlling, performing operations, for the benefit of souls, by means of the female energy, as in creation, &c., பராபரப் பொருள்; [ex பரா, sakti, et பரம், Siva or more properly, பரம், first and அபரம், last, i. e. the beginning and end.] Another derivation is from a Sans. superlative, பராத்பரம், The Most High, the Supreme Being. பராபரக்கண்ணி, s. A devotional poem by தாயுமானவர், addressed to பராபரம், this word ending every couplet. பராபரவஸ்து--பராபரன், s. The Supreme Deity, கடவுள். (சது.)--Note.
