The nine orders in heaven according to Romanists: 1. பத்திச்சுவாலிகர், seraphs; 2. ஞானாதிக்கர், cherubim; 3. பத்திராசனர், those who surround the throne of God --These are considered to be invested with, dignity of the first order; 4. நாத கிருத்தியர், those employed on gracious errands, messengers; 5. சத்துவகர் or சத்தி கர், celestial powers; 6. பலத்தவர், those averting evils--These are considered as invested with dignity of the second order; 7. பிதாத்மிகர், principalities or princes of earthly kingdoms; 8. அதிதூதர், archangels; 9. தூதர், angels, ministering spirits.
