To lend money at a premium. வட்டப்பாறை, s. A round and flat stone, or rock; a rocky barren surface. வட்டப்பாறைநாச்சியார், s. A local Durga at Trivatûr, திருவொற்றியூர், dwelling in a cave covered with a வட்டப்பாறை. வட்டப்போதிகை, s. A circular piece of timber placed under the போதிகை. வட்டமணியம், s. [com. வட்டகைமணி யம்.] Superintendence over a small tract. வட்டமரம், s. A class of jungle fruittrees--It is of two varieties, பெருவட் டம், the common வட்டம் tree; சிறுவட்டம், the வட்டம் shrub with scarlet flowers in clusters, the juice of which is pressed and with நல்லெண்ணெய், is given to children for cutaneous eruptions, வட்டமாயோடல், v. noun. A circular motion or course. வட்டமிட, inf. [sometimes வட்டம் போட.] To pass round, to hover about as a hawk; to gyrate. 2. [fig.] To hang about in order to obtain an object. ஆகாசத்திற்பருந்துவட்டமிட்டுக்கொண்டேயிருக் கிறது. The kite in the air continues to sail round. வட்டம்பண்ண, inf.
