tuṭai (p. 245) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To wipe, wipe off, clean by wiping, rub, scour, scrub, சீக்க. 2. To sweep, brush, பெருக்க. 3. To efface, obliterate, erase, expunge, அழிக்க. 4. To clear away, dispel, remove, expel, நீக்க. 5. To clear off a stain from one's character, வடுஅகற்ற. 6. To destroy, do away, annihilate, as a world, நிர்மூலமாக்க. 7. To relinquish, desert, கைவிட. (c.) துடைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He has carried off every thing. அழுகிறவன்முகத்தைத்துடைக்கவேணும். (One) should comfort the mourner. எங்களைத்துடைத்துத்தள்ளிப்போட்டான். He has utterly deserted us--married another, &c. துடைகாலி, s. (musc. துடைகாலன்.) A woman causing bad fortune. (c.) See தீக்காலி. ஈரந்துடைக்க, inf. To wipe off moisture from the body, &c.
