To bear in the womb, கருப்பத் திற்சுமக்க. சுமந்திறக்க, inf. To discharge heavy duties. (p.) சுமந்துபெற்றாள், appel. n. A mother, (lit.) she who brought forth. சுமந்துகொள்ள, inf. To sustain. சுமந்துபோக, inf. To carry away. சுமவாச்சுமை, s. A burdon too heavy to be borne. 2. (fig.) An undertaking above one's capacity. 3. Great pains, very laborious services, மிகுபிரயாசை. பாரஞ்சுமக்க, inf. To bear a weight. 2. To bear the burden of a large family, of government, &c. பழிசுமக்க, inf. To suffer for ill-doing, to bear reproach. சுமப்பு, v. noun. Bearing, carrying. சுமந்தவன்கூலிபெறுவான். He who carries will be paid. அவனையெடுத்துச்சுமந்துதிரி.
