A copper needle; sometimes used as an instrument of torture thrust into the fingers. செப்போடு, s. Tiles of copper, used for roofing, (temples, &c.) செம்பிலேதண்ணீர்கொடுக்க, inf. To hand the water pot to the guests to rinse their mouths, as a notice that food is ready. செம்புக்களிம்பு, s. Verdigris of copper. செம்புக்காசு-செம்புநாணயம், s. Copper coins.
