A celebrated Jvalamukhi exists in Lahore, to which pilgrimages are made. The soil abounds with carburetted hydrogen, which takes fire on coming in con tact with the external air, especially if a light be applied. Vents are made; and a light being brought near the orifice, a flame is kindled, which is fed by the escaping stream of gas. Shewing the face as a courtezan to allure paramours. முகங்குப்புற--முகங்கவிழ, inf. To incline the face towards the ground-used adverbially. Compare குப்புற. முகங்குறாவுதல், v. noun. Being of a sad countenance. முகங்கொடுத்தல். Granting a kind hearing. 2. Fondling or treating with great indulgence, பட்சங்காட்டல். பிள்ளைக்குமுகங்கொடாதே. Indulge not a child. முகங்கொள்ளல்.
